Patti Durkee is the councillor for District 4 in the Municipality of Yarmouth, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia
Patti ( nee Lynch) grew up in Yarmouth, NS. She is the daughter of Hubert and Belle Lynch. After graduating from YCMHS, Patti attended Dalhousie and Mount Saint Vincent Universities achieving a Bachelor of Science with honours in Psychology followed by a Bachelor of Education. She taught elementary school for 26 years and now runs Hubert and Belle’s Art and Decor in Port Maitland, NS. She is married to Tom Durkee of Hebron, NS and has two daughters, Haley and Jillian and two dogs, Watson and Pippin!
She enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dogs, painting, reading, walking the beach, kayaking and swimming at her cottage on Lake Jesse. She also enjoys driving her 1964 Ford Galaxie 500!
Patti is past-president of the Friends of the Yarmouth Light Society but continues on as a director of the board. She also a member of the Roaring 20’s Car club and is very active on the Yarmouth Car Show committee.
